Since November 2024, citizens from 38 countries — including France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Japan, South Korea, Australia, and Malaysia — can enter China visa-free for up to 30 days for tourism, business, or family visits.
This policy is valid through December 31, 2025.
🔄 240-Hour (10-Day) Visa-Free Transit
Travelers from 54 countries, including the USA, UK, and Canada, can transit through China without a visa for up to 240 hours (10 days) when heading to a third country.
This policy applies to major cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Xi’an, and more.
🏝️ Special Visa-Free Zones
Hainan Island: 30-day visa-free stay for citizens from 59 countries
Xishuangbanna (Yunnan): 6-day visa-free access for foreign tour groups
Guangdong Province: 6-day visa-free entry for tour groups entering via Hong Kong or Macau, covering 9 cities
