Yes. As of 2025, China has implemented expanded visa-free policies for citizens of many countries.
1. 30-Day Visa-Free Entry
Travelers from countries such as France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Malaysia, New Zealand, Australia, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Brazil, Thailand, and over 40 other countries can now enter China without a visa for up to 30 days for tourism, business, or family visits.
These policies are part of pilot programs and may be subject to extension or adjustment.
2. Extended 240-Hour Visa-Free Transit
China also offers a 240-hour (10-day) visa-free transit policy for citizens of 54 countries, including the U.S., Canada, U.K., and Australia. This applies when travelers:
Hold a valid international passport and onward ticket to a third country;
Enter via designated airports or ports in cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Xiamen, etc.;
Remain within the approved region during transit.
